This page explains what Gorilla Tag Ranked collects, how it is used, and the choices you have when using our website and related features.

Effective Date: March 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Gorilla Tag Ranked ("GTR," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you use our website, Discord-connected features, ranked systems, moderation tools, APIs, panel features, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

This Policy is intended to describe our current practices based on the website and server-side functionality currently used by the Services. It does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to gorillatagranked.com, our public pages such as the home, players, ranked, and privacy pages, our Discord-connected features, our ranked and moderation systems, and the related APIs and web panel that support those features.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information.

Discord account information. If you connect or use Discord-related functionality, we may receive or look up information such as your Discord user ID, username, global display name, guild membership status, role information relevant to eligibility or moderation, and avatar image.

Gameplay, ranking, and account-linking information. We may process identifiers and gameplay-related records used to operate ranked features, including Discord IDs, Photon IDs, linked-account records, MMR values, MMR history, points, wins, losses, streaks, rounds played, time played, room codes, ranked category, ban records, moderation actions, bot assignment information, and other service status information associated with ranked participation and enforcement.

Public profile and leaderboard information. We may display usernames, display names, avatars, rank names, leaderboard positions, recent match-feed events, and related public-facing service data on the website or in connected community features.

Device, network, and usage information. When you use the Services, we and our providers may automatically receive technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, operating system information, referrer information, pages viewed, timestamps, request logs, and similar diagnostic or security information.

Browser-stored information. The website currently uses browser local storage to remember certain session-related values and preferences, including items such as your Discord ID, Discord username, Discord avatar URL, and whether panel access was granted for the current browser profile.

Advertising and third-party technology information. Where advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and other advertising technology may collect or receive information through cookies, local storage, web beacons, SDK-like tags, or similar technologies for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement, reporting, and, where permitted, personalization.

Font delivery and embedded third-party requests. The website uses Google Fonts and may link to or embed third-party services such as Discord, YouTube, and TikTok. Those services may receive technical request data such as your IP address, browser headers, referrer, and device/browser information when your browser requests their content.

3. Sources of Information

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from Discord and related platform integrations, from our internal gameplay and moderation systems, and from service providers that help us host, secure, deliver, or monetize the Services.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
  • authenticate users and support Discord-linked functionality;
  • link accounts and determine ranked eligibility, connected status, guild status, and rank category;
  • display player pages, rankings, leaderboards, match-feed entries, room information, and other public or community-facing features;
  • run moderation, anti-abuse, anti-fraud, and enforcement systems, including bans and access controls;
  • protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Services;
  • communicate operational messages through connected services where applicable;
  • serve, limit, measure, and report advertising where enabled;
  • comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our terms or community rules; and
  • maintain internal records, logs, backups, and evidence relevant to disputes, enforcement, and service reliability.

5. Public Information and Community Visibility

Some information is intended to be visible to other users or the public because that is part of how ranked and community features work. This may include your username, display name, avatar, rank, MMR-related display information, leaderboard placement, recent competitive events, and similar information that appears on public pages, feeds, or community-facing features.

6. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers and infrastructure providers. We use third parties that help host, secure, store, deliver, or support the Services.
  • Discord and connected platforms. Information may be exchanged with Discord or related integrations where needed for login, account connecting, role checks, messaging, moderation, or other service functionality.
  • Advertising partners. Where advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may collect or receive information for advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
  • Public disclosures. Information that is part of rankings, player pages, feeds, moderation status displays, or other public-facing service functions may be visible to other users or the public.
  • Legal, safety, and enforcement reasons. We may disclose information where we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rules, investigate abuse, or protect rights, safety, security, or property.
  • Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the Services or assets.

7. Cookies, Local Storage, Google AdSense, and Similar Technologies

The website uses local storage and may use cookies and similar technologies for core functionality, remembering settings, security, diagnostics, fraud prevention, measuring traffic, and supporting advertising.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Depending on your region and our configuration, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or unavailable. Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland may be presented with consent choices where required by law and Google's publisher requirements. If consent is required for storing or accessing information on your device, ad tags should only be used in line with that consent state.

You can usually manage cookies through your browser settings, clear site storage, or use ad and privacy controls made available by Google and other providers. Clearing local storage may remove saved site values such as Discord-linked session details in your browser.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we generally process information because it is necessary to provide the Services you request, because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services, because we need to comply with legal obligations, or because you have given consent where consent is required.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to operate ranked systems, preserve competitive integrity, maintain moderation history, support user-requested account connecting, resolve disputes, keep backups, meet legal obligations, and enforce our terms and rules. Different categories of data may be kept for different periods, and some records may be retained longer where needed for safety, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete or restrict the information where appropriate.

If any part of the Services is considered child-directed or if we obtain actual knowledge that we are collecting personal information from a child under 13 in a context covered by COPPA or similar laws, we may limit features, disable personalized advertising, apply child-directed treatment, or take other steps required by applicable law or platform requirements.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, to limit certain processing, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or to appeal a decision about a privacy request.

You may also be able to control certain information through Discord account settings, browser controls, cookie controls, local storage clearing, or device privacy settings.

To make a privacy request, email us using the contact details below and describe your request with enough detail for us to verify and respond. We may ask for additional information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority before completing certain requests.

13. U.S. State Privacy Disclosures

We do not sell personal information for money. However, depending on how advertising technology is configured, some privacy laws may treat certain third-party advertising or cookie-based disclosures as a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising. Where required, we will honor applicable opt-out rights and consent choices. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users we know are under the age threshold protected by applicable law without the authorization required by law.

Where applicable law requires a notice at or before collection, this Privacy Policy is intended to work together with any just-in-time notices, consent prompts, banners, or settings presented on the Services.

14. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your jurisdiction.

15. Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services including Discord, Google AdSense, Google Fonts, YouTube, and TikTok. We do not control third-party privacy practices, and their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services where appropriate.
